TERMS & CONDITIONS​

PAYMENT:​ ​All outstanding balances for cleaning services carried out are payable by cash, cheque or direct debit (details provided on invoice) as per Little Mermaid Cleaning Services invoice​​. Due date for payment will be supplied to customers upon completion of the job. If paying by cheque, the customer will be responsible for all bank and legal charges resulting from a dishonoured cheque. The customer agrees and authorizes to charge any outstanding amounts owed to Little Mermaid Cleaning Services upon completion of job. Any overdue or unpaid accounts will be paid by the customer at an additional rate of 20% of the value of the total invoiced amount owing.​


END OF TENANCY CLEANING, CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION CLEAN AND ONE OFF CLEANING:​ ​The customer agrees to pay $60.00 cancellation fee per cleaner if the customer cancels or changes the date/time less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled agreed start time for an end of tenancy or one off clean. The customer agrees to pay $60.00 cancellation fee per cleaner in the event of a lock-out caused by our cleaners being turned away; no one on site to let them in; or problems with customer’s keys. If keys are provided they must open the lock without any special efforts or skills.


CLAIMS:​ ​Little Mermaid Cleaning Services has a public and employer’s liability insurance. The policy will cover any accidental damages caused by an operative working on behalf of Little Mermaid Cleaning Services. The customer accepts and understands that poor service, breakage/damage or theft must be reported within 24 hours from the service date. Failure to do so will entitle the customer to no claim. Little Mermaid Cleaning Services advises that the customer or a customer’s representative must be present at the time of completion of the job so an inspection can be carried out and any corrections made on site on the same day.

RENTAL BOND BACK: The condition of the cleaning tenants leave behind them when moving out and to what standard the property should be in for the next tenant varies between property managers, therefore using professional carpet cleaners and/or cleaning services can be the best way to ensure the cleaning meets the property managers expected standard. Some property managers will only return tenancy bonds if professional cleaners are used.
When using Little Mermaid Cleaning Services for “Rental Bond Back”, we offer a check​-list and/or suggestions of what we think needs to be done to make sure you will get the bond returned;​ ​However, if the check-list and/or suggestions have been ignored or you have chosen not to take advice from Little Mermaid Cleaning Services, we cannot be held responsible for any problems between the property manager and tenants in regards to the bond being returned.​​
